Gone are the days of retirement at 65, people are considering retraining, further education and they have new goals so they can fund their lifestyle now and in the future.
But the mature job seeker still finds it difficult to break into the employment market. Some of these people have never applied for a job before, some don’t have a resume and are not sure how to construct one. Whilst they have confidence in their work skills and experience, this uncertainty can lower the persons confidence in their ability to apply for a job.
With the unemployment at a record high, we are finding at DOME that jobseekers are needing more mentoring support, and so we have developed workshops where these people can share their experience and can learn from each other. Under the guidance of a qualified trainer who has also experienced the difficulties the mature job seeker faces, the participants achieve increased confidence and improved self-esteem. The workshops have been a huge success, with students saying they have learnt a lot and were going to change their resume and have a new approach to the job market. The workshops are fundamentally about the different ways to approach a job application with their resumes and cover letters, and just as important how to conduct themselves at an interview by being prepared.
If you are interested in attending these workshops call 08 8410 4344. There is a small fee and places will be limited.CONTACT USLOOKING FOR STAFFTRAINING SERVICES
