Clients who believe they have the skills covered in any of the units may wish to be assessed by RPL procedures. To achieve RPL you will need to present evidence that you can meet the learning outcomes and assessment criteria of those units. Clients may wish to apply to receive recognition of skills that they have acquired through formal training and other courses; work experience and/or life experience – irrespective of how, when or where the skills have been acquired.
The focus of RPL is the learning that has occurred as a result of these experiences.

HOW AM I ASSESSED?
A variety of assessment methods may be utilised by the RPL Assessor to determine the application outcome. This may include the applicant attending an interview, providing supporting evidence or undertaking a challenge test (or a combination of these approaches).
HOW DOES CREDIT TRANSFER DIFFER TO RPL?
Credit transfer is different to RPL in that it is provided when competencies are achieved through successful completion of a unit from another accredited (recognised) course. Credit is normally given and no assessment is required. Ask the RPL Consultant about the credit transfer arrangements.
WHAT ARE THE COSTS FOR RPL?
A charge is made for RPL assessment. This will be calculated before you enrol. Contact the Training Administrator.
