The Brotherhood of St Laurence’s “Enhancing employment services for mature age jobseekers” resources are now on line. The website www.workingforeveryone.com.au includes;
- animations and stories about how older people came to be unemployed, an infographic which explains how the world of work has changed since the 1970s
- a ‘working it out’ (https://www.workingforeveryone.com.au/working-it-out-tool/) tool to support mature age jobseekers looking for work, and for employment services staff to identify transferable skills and likely employment options.
The working it out tool develops tailored reports and is supported by 21 how to guides and factsheets. In addition, three guides specifically for employment staff have been developed. The site also includes links to resources (https://www.workingforeveryone.com.au/resources/) and further information.
This site has been developed by the Brotherhood of St Laurence and is funded by the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation – Eldon & Anne Foote Trust (Innovation Grant 2015).
