$10 million State Government grants for small business start-up and expansion in Adelaide’s north.

Part of the State Government’s Northern Economic Plan, the fund will provide small businesses with financial support through two grant programs, over three years.
There will be $4 million in start-up business grants and $6 million in business expansion grants.

The grants are exclusively for businesses based in the local government areas of Playford, Salisbury and Port Adelaide Enfield. Applications open on July 1.

Business Expansion Grants between $10,000 and $100,000 are available on a competitive basis to help fund business expansion that will create multiple direct ongoing jobs, on a 1:1 matched funding basis.
The eligible purpose includes expenditure on such things as capital equipment required for growth, introducing new products or services, business expansion.

Eligible businesses are:

* Less than 20 FTE’s,
* Not be majority owned by a business with more than 20 FTE’s,
* Majority of trading activity and premises be located in Cities of Playford, Salisbury and/or Port Adelaide Enfield,
* Have been in operation for more than one full financial year,
* Have an ABN and be registered for GST.
